Kruger SafariReturn

At the beginning of 2008 I was lucky enough to be working on a project in South Africa at MNet TV where I met one of the editors, Stephan de Lange, who turned out to be a Safari Ranger in his spare time.

Stephan lives for the bush and when my job was done he took me for a ride to the Kruger Game Park in his Land Rover. We spend three days camping in the bush and looking at the game.

The rules are simple
– you don’t drive more than 5 miles per hour, you never leave your vehicle when you are outside of a designated camping area. If you get up early in the morning, you are rewarded by all kinds of wildlife, including the big 4 – Lions, Buffalo, Elephants and Rhino.

We were also lucky enough to spot some hyenas, some hunting dogs and of course plenty of impala, zebra and giraffe.
